The Vallon Pont d’Arc region offers a number of sporting activities just a stone’s throw from Mas des Arches: swimming in the Ardèche River, kayak or canoe hire, via ferrata climbing, caving, fishing, horse riding, rafting, hiking, rock climbing, golf, microlight flying, mountain biking, hot air ballooning, high ropes courses and more.

Places of interest

There are many must-see sights within 30 minutes of Mas des Arches:
-The Pont-d’Arc Cave (a replica of the Chauvet Cave) is unmissable, and can be reached by one of the free shuttles which connect with Ratière suburb (150m from Mas des Arches)
-The famous Pont d'Arc, classified as a Grand Site de France, is a natural bridge providing a gateway to the Ardèche Canyon.
-The Ardèche Canyon can be reached by car or on foot, and offers breathtaking scenery.
-Vogüe, a medieval village, is considered one of the most beautiful villages in France
-Balazuc and the family-friendly walk to the distinctive “Old Audon” ecovillage
-The Rock of Sampzon, and its lookout point, which are easily accessible for a panoramic view of the Cévennes mountain range.
-The Paiolive Woods with their incredible biodiversity and walks suitable for the whole family
-The Aven d’Orgnac Cave, classified as a Grand Site de France
-The Aven Marzal Cave, with its underground museum and prehistoric zoo
